Description Airframe completely stripped, inspected, overhauled and recovered 771 flight hours ago. Restoration done in 1986. Covered in Poly-Fiber. Engine overhauled by J.R.S. Enterprises in 2003. Propeller is ground adjustable McCauley w/ Steel blades. It has a 12 volt electrical system with a Jasco alternator. STC’d for autogas.
This Stearman is painted in Army Air Corp. markings as a PT-17 w/blue fuselage and yellow wings. This is a very original airplane. This airplane has been on display at the Palm Springs Air Museum and only flown on special occasions since an overhauled engine was installed in 2003. It receives yearly inspections and is run on a regular schedule. Last Annual inspection was done in November 2004. |
